We cultivate and steward ethically-sourced cacao, adaptogens, and wild-crafted superherbs – unlike any other chocolate maker. Our cacao farmers know and love this plant and honor its power and potency. We lovingly tend our Certified Organic Forest Farm at Mandala Springs in ancient Appalachia.
Indigenous communities have communed with this sacred plant for millennia, giving this potent and beautiful food its voice. Today, cacao helps thousands of farmers around the world earn a livelihood (not on plantations, but in community-owned and small farmer holdings).

We take our formulations seriously so you get the most nutritious chocolate on the planet. We use both ancient remedies and modern research to blend our cacao with herbs and adaptogens in innovative formulations that deliver potent benefits. Our bars are slowly stone ground with no heat to maximize bioavailability, potency and absorption of their precious ingredients. Particles are ground to 10 micron or less in size and suspended in the whole-cacao fats to prevent degeneration and oxidation. Your body uses less energy to digest and absorb these nutrients and compounds, meaning more net energy and nutrition for you.

Cacao Is Sacred
Cacao’s use can be traced back 4,000 years. In many ancient cultures, cacao was used ceremoniously, and even as a currency.
In latin taxonomy, cacao is called theobroma cacao. Literally, ‘food of the gods.’ But most modern chocolate is stripped of its inherent godliness by overprocessing and abusive agricultural practices.
